Abstract:
Radiative decays of B mesons provide a rich hunting ground in the search
for New Physics such as Supersymmetry. They represent flavor changing
neutral currents which are forbidden at tree level in the Standard Model
of Particle Physics and therefore have to proceed via loop diagrams.
In the era of B factories at SLAC in the US and KEK in Japan the copious
production of B mesons allows precision measurements for the rates of those
decays as well as other observables. I will present the experimental status
of radiative B decays and concentrate on new results and discoveries
from the B factories which are now dominating this field of research
and constrain extensions to the Standard Model of Particle Physics.
