Title: High Energy
Cosmic Ray Physics with LEP Detectors
Abstract: The detectors designed
for the search of new particles at LEP in 1980's were optimized for precise
measurements on muons of energies around several tens of GeV. Due to the
very large size of these muon spectrometers and their location at moderate
depths underground, it became possible to use them for various studies
on cosmic ray muons. In late 1990's additional instrumentation was installed
for the L3 precision muon detector, for its independent running with a
cosmic ray trigger. I propose to present some details of observations with
the L3 and other detectors at LEP during the last few years before the
LEP shutdown and discuss a few results obtained recently from these studies.
