Abstract: We explore the generic structure of neutrino spectra generated in the presence of bilinear and trilinear R-parity violating couplings. We also study the effect of nondegeneracy of the sneutrinos. We also invoke Abelian flavor symmetry to explain the order of magnitudes of the R-parity violating parameters and investigate whether this scenario is compatible with the data.
