Title: Quantum Fields
in de Sitter Space
Abstract: The definition of
the vacuum in curved spacetime remains controversial. In the simple but
important case of de Sitter spacetime, there are apparently infinitely
many possible choices. We argue that only one of these can
be used to formulate sensible Feynman rules for interacting fields.
We will also discuss its relevance to the choice of initial state for inflation.
